Reflection

Experience
This semester all in all was quite challenging due to the Covid-19 Pandemic which has definitely affected my learning abilities as I did not have any e-learning classes before. Most the time this module was very hands down self directed learning, the lecturers are here to give feedback on our work and guide us through the design process and achieve the best form of typography as we can. This module being Advanced typography however, the form and exploration should be much better and expectations from the lecturers are much higher as we had already taken Typography back in Semester 1. But in a nutshell, I think I learned a lot despite the e-learning restrictions where we could not see the process of our classmates work, that part usually helped me in gaining more inspiration/ ideas for my work back in Semester 1.

Observations
I noticed this semester I was really in a slump compared to other semester. I believe that because majority of our time is spent at home, we are less exposed to our daily hustle and bustle life on campus, and the creativity or inspirations that we had are limited to looking up on things such as Google or Pinterest. Not to say it's bad, but I feel like the originality isn't as up to par as compared to Semester 1. I noticed this same work ethnic for my other modules as well where I'm not as creative as I was in other semesters.

Findings
In this class, I find that the class really had a hard time in fulfilling Mr Vinod's expectations to where he wanted from us as Design students. But the only thing that I would take with me as a lesson is that it is still okay to make mistakes. The point is, we should not give up and push ourselves harder for the upcoming and current work or else, we might fall short and our standards are not up to par to the standards there are in the working field. I truly understand why Mr Vinod has these such high expectations from us and it is due to that fact, that if we do not perform well in this module, there's a high chance we might not even survive in the working field out there.
