Man-made Vehicle

Instructions

Project 1
Man-made Vehicle
For our first project, we have to make a man-made vehicle for our world, with full details and colors. I made 2 types of vehicles, the air vehicle, Roem Plane and Moto Bike for land. As we were running late on schedule, I only worked on Moto Bike and developed it further.

Fig 1.1 Roem Plane

Fig 1.2 Moto Bike

Mr Kannan said that I have to keep in mind of how the rider would sit, ask questions to myself such as: Would it be comfortable? How does it work? Even if a design looks cool or nice, often times when it lacks functionality, it would get rejected in the working field. I picked no.5 and developed it further.

Fig 1.3 ManaMene Bike

I made this bike because in Iaht, there are many mystical gemstones which will power vehicles and machines rather than the basic engines or generators. The ManaMene Bike's functionality is to travel distances, accommodates at least two people, and doesn't require any gasoline as it is powered by magical gemstones called ManaMene (hence the name, derp).

Fig 1.4 Bike Variations

Then, I made some variations of the bike which to Mr Kannan, doesn't look much of a variation to him as most of the silhouettes are the same. However, due to how far we are lacking behind, he said we could just pick on 1 and add colors and details.

Fig 1.5 Final Outcome

I came up with this concept and color palette from the blue oceans of Iaht. I also made some amendments based on Mr Kannan's feedback on the chair, perspectives etc.

Reflections

Experience

It's starting to get hard and I can see how my drawing style has changed over the few weeks.

Observations

I am definitely struggling in this module as I'm not used to making vehicles at all. So I feel like my design are a little.. questionable.. exotic.. you know... interesting....

Findings

I find it hard to balance the heavy workload of doing a total of (supposed) 12 vehicles with variations and making each of them different was eating out my mind.
