Lecture 4: Critical Review (Week 5)
Originally this lecture was conducted on Week 4, but because next week is a public holiday, the lecture is pushed forward so we can get a headstart for our next assignment : Critical Review. The aim of doing this is to evaluate the sources we had found regarding our chosen topic in our Proposal.
Try not to use blogs, Wikipedia, websites and non-scholarly written articles as these are not really reliable to use for Research purposes. We should Summarize the article, Critique and Evaluate and Conclude the aim of the article ; how the article is related to my research topic, does it support my research topic, etc.
Lecture 5: Quantitative and Qualitative Research (Week 6)
This week we learn about quantitative and qualitative research methods. Quantitative research is more focused on documenting the quantities of information, backing up on any statistical claims which revolves around numbers, however, it does not have much details in people's opinions, thoughts and feelings like Qualitative research does. However, collecting both types of data for a research helps us get an even more in-depth with our research as we will cover many areas to provide evidence for our research.
